The cherry picker was out in force at Coventry Sphinx FC's Sphinx Drive home as the floodlights got a much needed refurb and netting put up at the café end of the ground.
Rich Hopkins was the man in the cherry picker, who was on hand to give the floodlights a new frame. These were required as a lot of light from the floodlights was being lost so these new frames and repositioning of the lights will now improve the lighting for midweek week games for both the First team and Youth team.
Chairman Dannie Cahill said: "It's great to see money that has been raised by both the Juniors and Seniors is being ploughed back into improving facilities.
"The netting at the cafe end was needed as we have had a few close shaves from flying balls nearly hitting spectators whilst queueing for refreshments and whilst watching the game, so this was our first priority and secondly, the floodlight issue has also been resolved.
"We will continue to re-invest money back into the club to improve the facilities.
"I would like to take this moment to thank Dave Bull, Matt Farmer, Albert wale Rich Hopkins Joey Fletcher Damian Morgan and anybody else who I may missed for all their hardwork over the past few weeks."
