Coventry Sphinx have by large not had the best of times at the Coppice Ground and today's 3-1 defeat was another case in point.
Sphinx boss Luke Hopkins had a number of suspensions and injuries and changed his side from the one which beat Shepshed Dynamo on Monday night.
Playing in their red away kit for which they are looking for a sponsor, Sphinx were the first to attack with a neat ball finding Aden Moore who drove wide from the edge of the area in the fourth minute.
Moore then picked out Cutting who raced through on goal but Jenkins in the Heath Hayes goal came out and cleared.
With a Langley cross dealt with, the home side had Robinson send a twenty five yard free kick wide before a 25th minute corner was initially cleared by Fletcher and the ball fell for Michael Teece to fire in a deflected shot from 25 yards which flew into the net past a helpless O'Neill.
In the 36th minute, Sphinx, who had brought on Ashley Jackson for Gio Dainty, were lucky not to be two goals down when Phillips thankfully headed the wrong side of the post from a corner.
Matty Bannister went close from the edge of the area in the 41st minute.
Three minutes into the second half and Heath Hayes went further ahead when Teece slipped the ball to Chris Geldert who scored with a low drive from the edge of the area.
Galdings won a 54th minute corner as youngster Jackson Downie came on for Tom Dyke.
The rain was pouring down as Sphinx did get the ball in the net but Cutting handled and was cautioned by Mr Kerrigan.
A free kick led to a 66th minute corner for Sphinx, who looked better with Ash Jackson and Jackson Downie on, which was cleared.
Chris Geldert drove wide at the other end before he was one of three players replaced.
With eight minutes to go, a bad day got worse when Adam Langley was left alone on the left hand side of the area to score with a competent finish.
In stoppage time, Aden Moore scored a consolation goal with a 20 yard free kick but Sphinx went down to a 3-1 defeat.
