Coventry Sphinx made the most of the fog to seal a 2-0 victory tonight at Cadbury Athletic. Paul Charnley's side who are applying for promotion to the Midland Alliance had Robbie Stevenson hit the bar in the 25th minute.
It was Stevenson who put Sphinx ahead in the 38th minute when he scored from a penalty after Chris Harris was pulled down.

With Covsupport sponsored sub Danny McSheffrey on as a substitute, Sphinx doubled their tally in the 73rd minute when Carl Woolstenholme headed on a corner for substitute Jermaine Murdock to stab in.

Elsewhere, Wycombe Wanders reached the League Cup semi-final win a 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic. Jermaine Easter scored the only goal of the game.
Coventry Sphinx Youth were beaten 3-1 at home by Goodrich and in the Coventry Telegraph Cup, the game between Highgate United and Stockingford was postponed.
