Coventry Sphinx have said thank you to every one who has supported them in their opening home games of the season.
In a statement, Sphinx said: "Considering our average home league attendance over the time we have been in the Midland Alliance has fluctuated between 60-70 this rise in attendance has been superb for us.
"We as a club would like to thank you for this support and for the support a number of you have put in over the years.
"It may only look like a very small rise compared to the 1000's that watch football at a higher level but for a club like this the income it generates certainly helps to balance the books.
"The costs for running the club increases year on year much of which is raised through sponsorship and fundraising so again thanks for your support we hope you have had good experience and please come again.
"Our next home game is Bank Holiday Monday against high flying Highgate United where we are pushing for 500 fans can it be done??? Only with your help.
Many Thanks
Coventry Sphinx FC
