Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins has said that he is happy with the squad he has assembled but is hoping to bring in a few more players before the Midland Football League Premier Divsion starts on August 2nd.
Speaking to the Sphinx website, Hopkins said: "The squad is more competitive than last season. "We have added a couple of experienced lads to the squad as well as a lot of younger lads
"Chris Gummery is someone that we have tried to sign over the last couple of seasons so I am happy that he signed last night and along with Callum Rai who played for Coventry United last season, his attitude has been spot on.
"I was unsure whether he could make the step up but he has not put a foot wrong in the games he has played.
"Nathaniel McKenzie is a another young lad hungry to prove himself he is only 18 but has bags of potential along with Kurtis Shiels who again has bags of potential.
"I am still looking for one or two to cover all bases but if I cant find them then I am more than happy with the squad we have assembled"
