Coventry Sphinx started their Pre-season campaign with a 4-0 home victory over Paget Rangers.
Sphinx took the lead in the opening minutes when some great work from Rickie Cutting played in Gregg Webb to score.
The reformed Paget, who will be playing Midland Combination Division Two football this season, came to Sphinx Drive wanting to play football and they fully played their part in a competitive but entertaining game.
In the 68th minute, Sphinx increased their lead when a long ball was played to Ashley Wilkes, who cleverly flicked past the keeper.
Both keepers made great saves before Ashley Jackson got the ball on the left and lashed a powerfully hit twenty yarder high into the net in the 83rd minute.
Three minutes later, Sphinx rounded off a good display when a cross from the left was met by Ashley Wilkes who rose to head Sphinx to a four goal victory.
