Sphinx To Host Presentation Night

Coventry Sphinx will host a Presentation Evening on Friday May 9th at Sphinx Drive at 8pm.

For the first team which saw first ever appearances in the Midland Alliance, FA Cup and Birmingham Senior Cup as well as a run in the FA Vase which took them to a Quarter-Final replay and League Cup Semi-Final apperance, the season ended with a 3-2 home win against Friar Lane and Epworth on Saturday.

A brace from Tom Haywood and a goal from Jerome Murdock saw Paul Charnley's side finish fourth from bottom in the table.

A meeting to decide how many clubs are to be relegated will be held on May 15th by Midland Alliance officials.

Sphinx Reserves were in the Challenge Bowl Final on Saturday but lost 3-0 at Boldmere St Michaels. Lee Knibbs side still have two matches to play in their Midland Combination Reserve Division. They have a home game on Wednsday night before travelling to Chasetown on Saturday afternoon.
