Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that the state of the pitch is not helping the Sky Blues.
City's pitch like many up and down the country is having to deal with the effects of plenty of games on it and the British weather, which again saw some snow falling in Coventry in the early hours of this morning and when asked about the pitch by the Coventry Telegraph in responce to a reader's question, the City boss said: “It doesn’t help and it would be great to have a really good playing surface but unfortunately there were 13 games on it prior to the season kicking off and that’s had an effect.
“The pitch can affect passing but I don’t want us to compromise what we’re about because when we pass the ball properly that can separate us from other teams.
“If there are any doubts as defenders we don’t take chances, but we have to have the courage to take the ball under pressure and use it – if you are persistent with it like we were at the weekend then you get your rewards.”
