Conor Thomas has said that he feels that Coventry City staying up is a real achievement.
Thomas told Alan Poole of the Coventry Telegraph: “At the start of the season there was a real togetherness because we felt it was us against the world and when we wiped off the ten-point penalty so quickly everybody’s expectations went up.
“But the main aim was always to stay up and when it got to January and we faded a bit we didn’t have the personnel to chop and change when we needed to.
“That’s a real achievement and we’re pleased with ourselves but nobody is getting excited because we obviously want to be pushing at the other end of the table.
"And if we’re going to do that next season it’s important that we find a blend between the exciting football we were showing at the start of the season and the way we had to grind out results recently.”
