Jon Stead is expected to become a Coventry City player in the next couple of hours.
After having the weekend to make up his mind about moving to Coventry with his wife who is due to give birth in three weeks happy in East Anglia, Stead arrived at the Ricoh Arena this morning and watched the training session.
Stead was born on April 7th 1983 and the former England U21 international has played for Huddersfield, Blackburn, Sunderland, Derby, Sheffield United and Ipswich Town.
He is back playing after a four game ban for getting sent off for fouling Freddie Sears on Boxing Day at the Ipswich V Crystal Palace game and if everything goes through with only the formalities to complete after a verbal deal was agreed, he is expected to feature at Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Chris Coleman told the CT: "I expect the deal to go through and him to be in squad for Wednesday."
