Sheffield United,who were awful against the Sky Blues last week, were ripped apart by a very young Arsenal team. The Gunners who included a sixteen year old and six other teenagers won 6-0. Locally, tonight, a number of our teams were in action. Atherstone Town keep the pressure on BGB League Leaders Leamington with a 2-0 victory against Soham Rangers. Bedworth United had a good win beating Dunstable 3-0 with Adam Kinder scoring twice.
In the Birmingham Senior Cup, Tony Dobson's Rugby Town won a 1st Round tie against Racing Club Warwick 3-2 after extra time.
In the second round, Leamington won 1-0 at Studley with a goal from Corbett but Nuneaton were beaten 3-2 by Wolves with Hemmings scoring the winner for Mick McCarthy's side two minutes from time.
