Some Coventry City supporting stewards will have to miss out on Saturday's trip to Burnley after the club's new Safety Officer Peter Smith arranged for two steward training days ahead of the opening of the Arena on August 20th.
Those affected will be stewarding in the Main and North stands. They have also been advised to bring hard hards, safety boots and hi visilbility jackets if they have them. Those stewarding the other two stands are to report on the Sunday with turnstile operators also ordered to attend.
Wolves supporting Safety Officer Pete Smith who joined City from Kidderminister Harriers in the summer told the club website: "Stewards are vitally important on a matchday and it is essential we have as many as possible turn up for their designated training session, as well as the event on August 18. We all want the move to the Arena to go as smoothly as it possibly can."
