Stop Moaning About Attendances

Coventry City have been told to concentrate on making sure that City can purchase match tickets rather than complaining about the attendances.

Saturday's game against Reading was watched by a crowd at the Arena of 22,074 some 8,411 up on the corresponding fixture at Highfield Road last season and the attendance for the game against Queens Park Rangers was up by 6,405,so supporters are turning up in numbers.

This increase is despite the fact that supporters have not been able to buy tickets on-line and there have been days when the terminals are down and supporters wanting to buy tickets have had to be turned away, whilst many now have the added extra cost of car parking.

Said one angry supporter to Covsupport: "What the hell do the club want? "The numbers are well up on last year and if the club made sure it was easy to get a ticket and get to the game then maybe we would be close to sell-out crowds for most home matches. Coventry City have to understand that alienating their supporters is not the way to fill stadiums. "
