Gordon Strachan has been made manager of Celtic FC following the resignation of Martin O'Neill.

Leaving to care for his wife Geraldine, the former Northern Ireland international feels that Gordon Strachan is the right man for the job saying: "We now have a new manager in place and he will do wonderfully well. "He will take over and will inherit some really good footballers and one or two things that are sometimes not so good."

Strachan takes charge on June 1st and will announce his assistant then.
