Super City Ladies Win At League Leaders

Coventry City Ladies put in a superb performance to win 3-0 at WPL Southern Division leaders Gillingham FC and keep their hopes of winning the league alive.

City went into this game knowing that defeat would give Gillingham the title and at Chatham, the first half hour was tight before the Sky Blues struck with two goals in quick succession from Helen Dermody.

In the second half, City were down to ten players when Nikki Miles was sent off for kicking out.

However, substitute Maz Gauntlett was able to seize on some hesitency in the Gills defence and scored inside the final ten minutes to give City a 3-0 win.
