Former Coventry City striker Jay Bothroyd has admitted that he is embarrassed by a bid by Swansea City to sign him.
Bothroyd, is at Swansea's rivals - Cardiff City and told Cardiff's website: "You can kill that story now - I'm not going there.", following a £3m bid by the Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins.
"I can only assume it's more for the publicity than a real interest," Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale told BBC Sport.
"I'd have thought it was as much tongue-in-cheek as anything else. If they were serious they would've rung me."
Cardiff boss and former Sky Blue David Jones has said that there is not a chance of Swansea signing him.
