Coventry City will not be bringing Danny Swanson back from his loan at St Johnstone.
Swanson hit a stunning goal to give the Perth based side a win at Celtic on Wednesday night but Tony Mowbray has said that Swanson will not be back at the Sky Blues until next season.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: “I haven’t seen the goal but I saw he had scored when I looked at the results,
“It’s great for the kid and a real lift for him and any young player to go and score at Celtic Park in a victory is a big occasion for him.
"Good luck to the boy, he’s away on loan and the cross border rules means he won’t be coming back before the end of the season. But I am delighted for the kid.”
He added: “I’m just through the door so I don’t know the circumstances why he’s gone up there on loan. Whether he has played and not produced, I’m not sure, or whether he got homesick or it was right for all parties.
"But that he’s doing well can only be a positive and if he comes back in the summer and does exceptionally well again then there’s no reason why he can’t play a big part at the football club.”
