Swindon Town are interested in taking Coventry City target Sam Ricketts on loan.
Tony Mowbray has been trying to bring in the Welsh international defender who plays for Wolves.
However, it now appears that Swindon Town are in the driving seat and Ricketts could go to the County Ground and help in their push for promotion instead and told Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph: “He’s a Swindon boy so I can understand it. I wished him well and you can’t get too uptight about it.
“In my mind he’s just one target and we move on. He was experienced but his versatility was the biggest factor for me because Ricketts could play anywhere across the back line.".
