Jay Tabb is hoping to make Steve Coppell's squad for Reading's trip to Coventry City on Saturday.

Tabb, who has only had one start and two substitute appearances since his £300,000 move to the Madejski Stadium in January, has a thigh strain and was watched by Coppell in a Totesport Reserve League game last night at Lewes which Reading won 4-0.

Tabb told the Reading Evening Post: "I picked up a slight thigh strain in the warm-up against Doncaster, but I feel fine now. "I am really looking forward to it and would love to play."
