Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that he wants to know exactly how much he has to spend in the transfer windown.
"I am due to speak with the Chairman this week to find out what's available because it is pointless me running down blind alleys," said Coleman to the CT.
"I have got to know what we can do and can't do, and of course, we don't really want to lose any of the players we have got. We want to add to it.
"So it all depends on whether he says 'yes we have got this' or 'no we haven't', so until I speak to the Chairman I won't know exactly what I can and can't do.
"I know what we need and I know the players I would like to bring in to help us and that will depend on the budget that is available.
"I am not saying we have to spend the same money as Forest have but I know what we need to be a team that's competing in the top half of this league regularly and not just for sixth place for a week. I'm saying let's go top ten and be there all season but to do that we need to be a little more dynamic and we need more pace and power throughout the team.
"We are lacking that at the minute because even when we were winning five out of six games we were only winning 1-0, 1-0, hard to beat 1-0 but we never won two, three or four nil. It was always 1-0 and shut up shop because that's the way we were being built. We were on a fantastic run but we weren't hammering teams, we were just hard to beat."
