Peter Reid has appointed Jim McDonagh on a one months trial as a goalkeeping coach. The Republic of Ireland international and former keeper for Bolton Wanderers was out of work and hopes to be given the job permanently.
McDonagh replaces Alan Hodgkinson who was sacked by McGinnity along with Eric Black and Archie Knox back in May.
Originally, Peter Reid had wanted an experienced goal keeper to play as well as train Scott Shearer,Richard Brush and Jonny Tuffey, but has been unable to obtain one.
