Reice Charles-Cook felt that the Sky Blues 5-0 win at Crewe sent out a message.
Speaking to Keiran Crowley, the keeper said: "I think that should send out a message to the other teams in the league. We haven't enjoyed our best spell lately but got our rewards.
"It was important to score a few goals as we've probably not taken our chances as well as we should have in the last few games.
"I thought it was great to see the forward players perform like they did today. They smelt blood and they were ruthless at the right times to give us the win.
"It's a great dressing room in there. We're all delighted and now we've got to focus on the next challenge."
