The 23 year old full back was at Stoke and Bristol City before he joined Carlisle and told Sky Blue Player: "It feels fantastic to be here because a chance to play for a massive club like Coventry City in the Championship is what I've been working for.
Carlisle's Player Of The Year last season, added: "Carlisle have been great to me but I felt now was the right time to move on. I'm pleased the manager has shown faith in me and I want to repay that.
"I'm a whole-hearted player, I'm fully committed and I hope people can appreciate the way I play.
"If I can have as much success with the Coventry fans as I did at Carlisle then I will be delighted.
"Everything is in place at the club for it to go forward and I was taken aback by the club and the stadium when I was shown around.
"The manager is young and hungry and he has experience of getting promoted with Watford.
"As for me I'm still young, I'm hungry and I'm also excited because I want to help get Coventry City back in the Premier League where I think it belongs."
