Just as you had put all the Coventry City fixtures into your diary, phone or whatever you use to record information, the first change has been announced.
City's home game against Scunthorpe United due have been played on Easter Saturday (Saturday April 23rd), has been brought forward a day to Friday April 22nd with kick off, according to Scunthorpe's website at 3pm.
Now obviously done at the request of the managers, so their little darlings can get an extra day rest in between matches, but Good Friday is not a full public holiday in Coventry. Some businesses don't open whilst others give their staff Monday and Tuesday off instead.
According to the Football League, Good Friday not being a full national holiday is the reason why a full league programme of matches is not scheduled on that day.
With the club needing every fan through the Ricoh turnstiles, this looks a hasty decision which may well affect the gate.
