"Clinton is constant," Chris Coleman said to the CT. "Every day in training if something is not quite right he has to say something - he can't help himself - but he does it in a positive way and that's something we need.
"Sometimes he'll upset somebody and there's a bit of a to-do but afterwards he'll go and speak to that person, explain what he meant and shake hands."I've known Clinton since he was 16 and he hasn't changed a bit.
"I think he thinks he has got a bit of a bad reputation but I spoke to Steve Bruce and Eric Black about him before I signed him because I hadn't been in his company for a long time, and they said don't hesitate because he was great at Birmingham.
"And he has been great for us. "You always get one or two players in a squad that don't really like each other but they all know what Clinton is about and they expect him to speak out.
"They know he doesn't hold a grudge afterwards, and that's important."
