Coventry City caretaker manager Adrian Heath has spoken to Sunderland boss Roy Keane about signing Stephen Caldwell. The brother of former City defender Gary, was recently stripped of the Makems captaincy and has an uncertain future at the Stadium Of Light.

The 26 year old has also played for Newcastle, Leeds,Bradford and Blackpool and has made 133 appearances (+ 12 as sub) scoring nine goals and picking up twenty two yellow cards and three red cards.
