We caught up with Ziad from London after the game. He said: "This was our first big test of the season and we passed with flying colours. "The defence improved in the second half and that won us the game. Cardiff unsettled us in the first half but gave away numerous goal chances. "Jay Tabb was again the star of the City side. I know we are only three games in but he is my player of the season so far."
Their View
Brian from Gilford in Northern Ireland said: "I thought overall City were worthy winners after a massive shift from every single player in what was a great atmosphere. I am delighted that myself and my wife were there to witness it."
Iain Dowie said: "I think it's fitting that Jay Tabb scored the winning goal because for me he was the best player on the park by a mile. "He's worked really hard in training and he's the type of player who gives his all in every game. "Jay is the kind of person you would want as a son not just as a footballer.
"I'm not hiding behind the fact that in the first half we rode our luck and weren't good enough at times. "But we defended resolutely and Dimi kept us in the match with a couple of good saves. "I'm pleased they missed the penalty because I think that would have been harsh on us when we played so well in the second half."
