Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has warned that City could be heading for the drop unless the situation is stopped.
Speaking to Alan Poole of the Coventry Telegraph after the Sky Blues third successive defeat at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday, the City boss said: “I reminded the players that there is a league below us – we are getting dragged back down to the wrong end and if we don’t realise that’s the situation then we’re in trouble. This is our most challenging period of the season and we’ve got to show that we have the stomach for it.
“Up until the last three weeks we’ve been receiving plaudits for our performances, our style of play, and it’s great when things are going well for you. But the measure of a real team, of real players, is how you react to adversity and I thought several players let us down in that respect.”
