Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he was chuffed to bits for Cody McDonald who came on to earn City a point against Crystal Palace.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, the City boss said: "He has done well to get back from injury as it was his first real injury in his professional career and with him also not getting a pre-season in, it made a comeback more difficult.
"His performance seemed like he is now finding his feet at the club and he has been looking sharp and hungry on the training ground the past week or so.
"He definitely added to the side when he came on and he took the goal really well, and that is the sort of goal we have brought him here to score.
"I am delighted for the lad as it hasn't been easy for him but if we can get him back into the side and provide him with more chances like that, then he adds a lot to the side."
