Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he is hopeful that he can have an affect on things in January when the transfer window re-opens.
Thorn has already met with City's MD Tim Fisher and told the Press Association: "I've been able to have an opinion and to voice what I think and one of the things that keeps me going is getting the green light so that I can affect things in January and I don't think you have to be a rocket scientist to see that I haven't been able to since I've been in.
"I haven't been able to affect too many things apart from prepare a team for a game and making sure we get the maximum out of the team, I haven't really been able to do anything else. I would be nice now I've had a chat that I can try and affect things and put my stamp on it.
"I feel confident I've been able to say what I needed to and I think that's been long overdue. Obviously I know the (financial) situation at the club but if people go (in January) then at least I feel now I'm able to wheel and deal and I'm pleased about that because it's what's needed.
"I've seen enough people going through the door and I just feel I can do something. Even if we lose people then I can replace them and bring extra bodies in and have a go because at the moment I've been sat on my hands not being able to do anything. Now I feel 'Come on, let's do something'. I feel positive."
