Coventry City manager Andy Thorn said that he was pleased after the Sky Blues 8-0 victory at Hinckley United.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player after City’s first of nine pre-season away games, Thorn said; "I was really happy with the way we went about ourselves today. It was professional and it was important we came through that test. It is difficult to score eight in any game so really happy.
"Get to see the new lads out there doing well and I am really happy for them as they seem settled in the side already. There is a real good buzz in that dressing room at the moment and long may that continue.
"The score line is great to see but it really is all about the fitness and the attitude the players begin to develop over this extremely important period.
"We want to make sure the fitness is right which is why we got them back in a week early and that sharpness will continue to develop.
"I thought the development players were brilliant today as well which shows how the club is doing at continuing to produce talent.
"The new lads will continue to work with the team and get a better understanding of how we play but it is nice to see how they are buying into that.
"We move on to Scotland now and lets hope we can produce a few more performances like that."
