Former Coventry City manager Andy Thorn is still in the running for the vacant AFC Bournemouth manager's job.
The Cherrries had wanted former manager Eddie Howe back but his club Burnley have issued a short statement saying that Bournemouth had 'made an unsolicited and unwanted approach for manager Eddie Howe', no agreement has been reached and 'No permission has been granted for Bournemouth to speak to Howe.'
This leaves Thorn still in the running along with Yeovil boss Gary Johnson and a number of others.
