Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he wants to make the Ricoh Arena a fortress this season.
In a division where many sides will see a visit to a stadium with one of the biggest capacities in the division, as a place they will fancy coming to, Thorn wants to make it as difficult as possible.
Speaking to club journalist Keiran Crowley, Thorn said: “Danny (Wilson) has got them well organised at Sheffield and they will definitely be in the fight for promotion throughout the season.
“We go into the game hoping we can grab our first win of the season and improve on the weekend’s performance at Yeovil.
“A lot of boys have never played at the Ricoh before and we’re hoping it can become a bit of a fortress for us this season.
“It will difficult as they have many strengths but I think if we can play to what we can, we will celebrating our first win of the season.
“It will definitely act as a benchmark as it will make us realise where we are at after a tough pre-season. We have plenty of options and we will be looking to use them.
“It is good to have a competitive squad at the moment where almost every position is up for grabs in this strong squad.”
