Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he remains determined to keep midfielder Gary Gardner, despite his parent club Aston Villa losing Jermaine Jenas for the rest of the season.
City who, it is understood are not paying any of Gardner's wages, have the England U21 international on loan until January 3rd and as part of that deal, Villa cannot recall Gardner until the initial loan has ended. If the loan deal is extended, Villa can then recall him at any time.
Speaking at the weekly press conference this afternoon to the Press Association, Thorn said:"We've got him for the month and then after that they have a recall (clause) on him.
"He's their player, that's their decision. We'd love to keep him, I'd love to have done a lot of things, but we'll deal with the situation when it arises."
