Coventry City manager Iain Dowie has expressed his condolences following the death of the mother of Khali Fadiga.
The news came at half-time of City's Birmingham Senior Cup game against Birmingham City. The City boss who had the unpleasant task of breaking the news said to the club website: "Khali was outstanding in the first-half of the game and that's when I got the news that his mother had died.
"I told him and then the lads at half-time and I thought it was wonderful that the players showed great togetherness and real professionalism to see the game out.
"Our thoughts are with Khali and his family at such a difficult time."
