Coventry City striker Leon Clarke has said that the young players have to take responsibility on the pitch to stop conceding goals.
Clarke was clearly annoyed coming off at half-time of the Boxing Day game against Peterborough United and told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: I was frustrated because we were obviously not set right as a team. “They scored far too easily and that’s happened too often this season.
“We’re conceding a lot of goals and there comes a point when people have to take responsibility for their jobs. Even though they are young kids, they have to grow up at some point and become men, and become leaders.
“Personally I think that if this team wants to progress and go to where this manager wants us to go then some of them have got to start taking responsibility for their actions and what they’re doing on the pitch, and become better.”
