Time For Standing Areas

Covsupport is supporting the efforts made so far by Safestanding and the Football Supporters Federation in calling for seperate areas in stadiums for those supporters who wish to sit and those who wish to stand.

Covsupport is unhappy that in a so called democratic country, freedom of choice is denied to football supporters. Fans of Rugby Union and Rugby League are free to stand or sit at matches as are concert goers at stadiums whose main use is for football matches.

Covsupport joins the call for the Football Licensing Authority to accept that supporters have a right to choose whether they sit or stand and for the Government to stop being influenced by seating companies and to reopen the debate. More information can be obtained from www.standupsitdown.co.uk
