Coventry City Chairman Tim Fisher has said that the time is right for them to make an announcement about the Board shuffle.
The new changes mean that Mark Labovitch has left the club, Steve Waggott becomes CEO and Tim Fisher becomes Chairman.
Speaking to the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter, Mr Fisher said:“These board changes had been previously discussed, agreed and decided upon long before the short-term deal that saw us move back to the Ricoh Arena.
“We wanted to get the interim deal completed before we made any announcement around our own changes at boardroom level and we believe the time is now right to announce make the announcement.
“It’s still very much the club’s focus and intention to own its own ground in order to access the revenues that come with it.”
“Mark has served Coventry City with characteristic energy for the past three years devoting an enormous amount of time and effort to the club’s cause through a very difficult period and providing robust independent advice to the board.”
On stepping down from his role, Mr Labovitch added: “The past three years have been unusually onerous for the independent directors, but it was of the utmost importance to give total support to the board in overcoming the severe difficulties which the club faced.
“I am delighted that the Sky Blues are now able to play back in the city. The most rewarding thing for me has been engaging direct with fans, whose advice and encouragement has meant a great deal.”
