Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that he wants players who want to earn their future.
"I am looking for character in the players and who wants to stay here," the City boss said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.
"People have got to earn their future and it’s time to stand up to the plate.
"We have found that coming down from the Championship you have to change the players’ mentality because if their heads are still in the division above it can cause you problems.
"We’re here on merit because we weren’t good enough so we have to make sure we are good enough and better in this division.
"It’s a mentality thing and the stats bear that out because we have taken the lead in 12 of the 17 league games and come second best in a lot of them, so it’s not ideal and we need to be better.
"I am saying the same things week in, week out and it’s difficult because that’s where we’re at, but the players have got to be better.
"They have got to be the best that they can possibly be and that means on a daily basis they come in and give their all for themselves, their families and the club."
