The Sky Blue Trust is delighted to announce that they have donated £250 to Coventry City Girls Development Centre in order for one of their coaches to gain the level two FA coaching badge.
The Coventry City Girls Development Centre was formed in 2005 in order to provide a safe environment to enable players to train for and play association football it also helps to identify individual's requirements, develop their skills and techniques, thereby improving the standard of football played by all players.
Currently there are eight teams playing for the Development Centre playing in five age categories; Under 9's, Under 10's, Under 12's, Under 14's and Under 16's .
The Sky Blue Trust has identified the good work the Development Centre is doing by encouraging girls of all ages to get be healthy by providing a safe, friendly environment.
The coaches who train the girls do on a volunteer-basis. By upgrading the coaches to Level Two of the FA coaching scheme it enables the girls to receive a higher level of coaching, which would help to develop their skills further and make them more competitive in the league.
Natalie Cox of the Sky Blue Trust said "One of the aims of the Sky Blue Trust's constitution is to benefit present and future members of the community served by Coventry City Football Club by promoting, encouraging and furthering the game of football as a recreational facility, sporting activity and focus for community involvement and also to promote the Coventry City Football Club and the game of football itself within the community and to seek to unify all supporters for footballing success at all levels within the Club by donating this money to the Development Centre it gives girls of all ages the opportunity to learn new skills and potentially become new supporters of Coventry City Football Club"
