The Sky Blue Trust would like to express their disappointment that the final home game of the 2008-2009 season has been rearranged to accommodate a rugby game.
"While we appreciate that the Football Club is a tenant at the Ricoh Arena and that Arena Coventry Limited (ACL) needs to be a profitable company it seems that time and time again the supporters of Coventry City Football Club (CCFC) are ignored and neglected in order to balance the books.
"The Trust is concerned that supporters will be unable to attend the rearranged match against Watford as night games traditionally have lower gates and those supporters who travel long distances to traditionally present awards to their respective Supporters Club's player of the season will not have the opportunity to do so.
When the takeover was finalised last year the Sky Blue Trust was hopeful of a new era which would strengthen the bond between those in charge of the football club and its supporters and would ask why the Directors of Coventry City have not informed their own supporters officially when Watford Football Club have.
Natalie Cox, Media Co-ordinator, Sky Blue Trust said "We are disappointed that once again the supporters are being inconvenience at the expense of the bottom line.
"The final game of the season is traditionally a high gate and an opportunity for the supporters and players to acknowledge the part the other has played over the season.
"We are saddened that the football club has not officially informed supporters of this fixture change and hope that those in charge of the football club will not repeat the mistakes of the past but seek to strengthen the lines of communication and ensure that the importance of supporters to the football club is not forgotten."
