Birmingham City head the Championship table after a 2-0 win at QPR. There were wins for Burnley, Southampton,Preston,Derby and bottom club Hull City who won 1-0 at Leicester. The games at Luton,Plymouth,Sheffield Wednesday and Southend finished in draws.

Locally, Nuneaton Borough beat Kettering 2-1 in front of a crowd of 1202.

In the Midland Alliance, table toppers Leamington beat Cradley Town 3-0 at the New Windmill. with goals from Andy Gregory,Martin Thompson and Josh Blake. Atherstone drew 1-1 at Quorn,Stratford Town lost 2-1 at Oadby and Racing Club Warwick lost 2-0 at Romulus.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Nuneaton Griff won 3-1 at Coleshill Town whilst Southam won 1-0 at Massey Ferguson.
