Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said Blair Turgott has re-acted superbly following a conversation this week.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mowbray said Turgott who hit the winning goal in a 1-0 win at Peterborough United: "I had a long chat with Blair at the start of the week. He asked me if he would get a chance, but I must admit I have found myself questioning his desire.
"He needs to impress his new manager and he hadn't done that previously, but he reacted superbly to what was said and got an important goal for us.
"Young footballers like Blair with a bit of talent have to work hard and fight for their club to become top players.
"I'm delighted with the result although it was not much of a spectacle. Both teams were as bad as each other on a windy day and a bobbly pitch.
"I will certainly take the three points in our position and we still need to win two or three games to make sure we stay in this division."
