Twenty Goals A Season Striker Wanted

Coventry City boss Iain Dowie has demanded twenty goals a season from his strikers. The City manager who wants to bring in a striker with a proven record told the CT: "We believe that Leon Best will bring us goals and Rob Simpson will bring us goals.

"Whether they bring us 20 goals at this level we don't know yet. "Would I, given the right opportunity, go and get a 20-goal a season striker? "Yes I would and that is probably what everyone is looking for.

"But the gauntlet is down for Dele Adebola, Leon McKenzie, Michael Mifsud, Kevin Kyle, Rob, Besty and Wayne Andrews even, to go and be that 20-goal a season man. "I think the lads know that there is increased competition for places and all of sudden there is a bit more edge among the strikers."
