Twitter And Facebook Pictures Banned In Coventry

The taking of photographs on mobile phones and putting them on social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter has been banned during the Olympic matches at the City Of Coventry Stadium.

Coventry is the only stadium to have brought in the ban which is in the list of Prohibited & Restricted Items lists and says:

“Mobile telephones are permitted providing they are used for personal and private use only, provided that no audio/visual material captured may be published or otherwise made available to any third parties including via social networking sites."

LOCOG have said that the rules were drawn up with each venue but have not named the person or persons responsible.
