Marvin Sordell has said that his stunning goal against Millwall was up with the best of them.
“It was nice; it’s up there with the best of them,” said Sordell to the Coventry Telegraph.
“I am disappointed with the header I had because I tried to place it too much. If I’d hit the target I’d have probably scored.
“I think it helped because when I got the ball for the goal my first thought was just hit it because most of the goals I have scored in my career are from positions where I have just turned and hit it without even thinking.
“Over the last few years I haven’t had so much success and my first thought has been to try to play my way into the team.
“When you score a goal it kind of buys you a bit of time to just play your football and not have to worry about that first one, and then it hopefully gives you the freedom to try different things, attempt more shots.
“You get one and one becomes two, and two becomes three and confidence builds and hopefully go on from there.”
