Dennis Wise has said that it is now up to Micky Adams to decide if he wants the services of the experienced midfielder next season. "I have had a chat with Micky & he has left it open," said Wise to the CET.
"I have said to him that if nothing comes up on the management side, I would love to come back for another year if he wants me because I have enjoyed it very much. "It is not as if I wouldn't be able to do it because I know I would be able to play on, so that has been left open and it is nice to be in that position.
"The only way I will hang up my boots is if I don't come back to Coventry. I don't think I will go to another club to play for anyone else because I know the people and I have enjoyed it. "So the only place I will come back and play for is here, the reason being because of the way Micky has looked after me and the way the fans and lads have been.
"If a manager's job comes up that I really want I will take it but if it doesn't then I have told Micky I will be more than happy to stay on."
Micky Adams remained tight lipped saying: "The whole football world knows he wants a managers job, but he will have a small bit part to play if he stays next season."
