Mark Venus has said that he is enjoying his Technical Director's role with Coventry City.
Venus told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “This is a very different role but I have always been interested in the business side of life.
“One of my hobbies is playing the stock market a bit and I have always been interested in the cash flows and how much we have had to spend and how we spend it; how much a player earns, why we pay them, how we pay them, when we pay them. And I think I can put that with my football knowledge and help the club.
I think Tony felt it was the right time for me to do that here and I have to say I have had great support from the people who own the football club. They’ve been fantastic to me.”
Asked if he misses being out on the grass, he said: “Not particularly. I was out there the other day but Saturdays are probably when you feel it most having played and been assistant in the dugout.
“But I haven’t missed it anywhere near as much as I thought.
“I haven’t done any coaching since I have been here but I hope to when things settle down a little bit. But at the moment there’s an awful lot of work to be done here and it’s not as straight forward as perhaps we would like.”
