Mark Venus has said that there is no rush to appoint a new manager of Coventry City.
Venus told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: “We’ve had a lot of applications.
"A lot of people want to manage this club and so they should – it’s a big football club.
“There isn’t one there from M Venus at the moment but they know what I’m about so we’ll have to see.
“The board will take due diligence; it needs to be the right process and I don’t think there’s any reason to rush into it.
“We have to take out time, pick the right candidate, distinguish who’s the right man to move the club forward from here.
“There's no time schedule – however long it takes, getting the right person in place is the most important thing.”
