Coventry City supporting Olympic Gold Medal winner Marlon Devonish romped home first in an invitation event in Glasgow.

Devonish won the 100 metres invitation race with a time of 10.43,despite two false starts and wet conditions at the Scotdoun Stadium. American, Ernest Wiggins was second in a time of 10.50 with fellow American Mark Jelks in third with a time of 10.52.
